Tip Trapper

End-of-shift math, done before you clock out.

Punch in your cash, your card tips, and your hours, and you’re done. Working the same section as yesterday? Tap “same as last shift” and fix what changed. Tip Trapper keeps it all straight, so you can see what you really made per hour, whether it was a slow Tuesday or a slammed Saturday double.

Charts that actually tell you something

Your charts take all those shifts and show you where the money really comes from. See every shift on a timeline with your average and your goal drawn right on it, so you can tell at a glance if you’re having a good month or a slow one. Your best day gets called out too.

Work more than one place? Put your restaurants side by side and see which one actually pays better per hour, not just which one feels busier. And the day-of-the-week chart shows which shifts are worth picking up and which ones you can let somebody else have.

Split the pot & IOUs

Split the tip pot fast, even when somebody already grabbed food or a shirt out of it. Pick the restaurant at the top (set your usual spot in Settings and it’s already there), put in the cash, add who’s in, and go Equal or By hours. Whatever someone already took comes out of their own share, not everybody’s.

Your coworkers’ first names get saved for each restaurant, so you’re not typing Dani and Luis every single night. Just the names, never what anybody made or took. The split itself is for that shift only. Hit Reset when you’re done, and none of the amounts get saved, backed up, or exported.

Somebody still short at the end of the night? Add an IOU for who owes who, and mark it paid when it’s settled. Paid ones stick around for 7 days so nobody gets asked twice, then they clear themselves.

Your take-home is just your own tips minus your tip-outs. Nobody else’s earnings get saved.

IOUs: mark one paid and it sticks around 7 days so nobody gets asked twice, then clears itself

Bring your old shifts with you

Switching from another tip app? You don’t have to start over. Export your shifts from your old app as a CSV or Excel file, then go to Settings and tap Import from another app.

Tip Trapper reads the file right on your phone and figures out which column is which. If it can’t tell, it asks you, and you pick what each column holds. You get a preview of everything before it’s saved, duplicate shifts are skipped, and if something looks off, one tap undoes the whole import.

The file never gets uploaded anywhere. It’s read on your phone, and your imported shifts are saved there just like the ones you log yourself.
